You Can’t Predict When Something Might Happen at Your Home

I have been talking with lots of home owners recently about the security in their home. I am attempting to get some insight on the different ways our homes become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever experienced suspicious actions at home. It could be burglary, broken windows, a suspicious individual – anything. Almost everyone had at least one story. Many of their stories eventually led them to get a home security system. I have learned that Lake Forest Security is a choice that people people have gone with.

One person informed me that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to pick his little boy up from soccer practice. When they returned home roughly 20 minutes later, one of the windows on their house was broken and some things were missing from inside. He thought he was being watched, and that the thief knew when he left. A different mother of 3 said that she once answered the door for someone who claimed to be a salesman. After the guy finished speaking, he then asked if he could talk it over with her inside. She said no thanks, and he again replied by asking if he could at least come inside to use her phone. Considering this man was being so persistent, she declined again and closed the door.

We have all had our encounters with shady people and situations. Some experiences are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am researching helps me determine what moves people to install a burglar alarm. The woman said she quickly chose to get one the next day.

I have heard plenty of comparable stories from other people. People never truly know what can happen on a certain day. I am positive that these two people did not wake up and think something abnormal would happen later that day. It definitely highlights the importance of being proactive.
